Giving Joy makes micro-grants to women who seek to establish or improve businesses, nonprofits, NGOs, charities, or community projects for the benefit of their communities. You don't need an existing business or a polished proposal — Giving Joy values practical, creative ideas with real community impact over sophisticated writing, and there's no application fee.

Grants range from US$250 to US$500, with no restriction on field — agriculture, trade, craft, or any legal occupation qualifies, as long as your idea benefits women, girls, or families. Winners get six months to implement their project, plus mentorship and a global alumni network of women changemakers.

### **What You'll Do**

* Describe your idea and how it will benefit women, girls, or families in your community
* Explain exactly how you'll use the $500 grant, with an estimated budget
* Submit your application online through the official Giving Joy platform
* If shortlisted, respond to any follow-up questions from Giving Joy reviewers
* If selected, sign a grant agreement and implement your project within six months

### **Who Should Apply**

* Women aged 18 and up, from any country, state, or territory
* Applicants starting a new idea or expanding an existing business, nonprofit, NGO, charity, or project
* Anyone with a legal, community-focused idea — no prior business required
* Applicants who have not previously won a Giving Joy grant
* Projects that benefit women, girls, and/or families (not personal gain, merchandise sales, or pure marketing)

* Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted; no response by 1 December 2026 means the application was unsuccessful
* One application per woman per grant cycle; previous winners cannot reapply
* Applications accepted in any language (Google Translate-compatible)
