The **UNICEF Young People’s Action Team (YPAT)** is a flagship initiative that brings together passionate young Nigerians who want to make real impact in their communities. YPAT members work directly with UNICEF teams, partners, and policymakers to influence decisions on issues that matter most to young people — including **education, skills development, climate action, health, digital innovation, and WASH**.



YPAT is designed for young leaders who are ready to:

* &#x20;Drive youth‑led projects in their communities
* Share ideas that shape local and national policies
* Work with decision‑makers and development partners
* Build strong leadership, advocacy, and digital skills
* Join a nationwide network of changemakers, mentors, and innovators

&#x20;

### **Eligibility**

* Nigerian citizen, age between 10–29 years
* Passionate about youth empowerment and social impact
* Committed to 12-month participation (online & in-person)
* Access to a smartphone and the internet; proficient in English

&#x20;

### **Key Responsibilities**

* Represent youth in governance and policy advocacy forums
* Lead/support community-based projects and campaigns
* Organise and participate in community dialogues, camps, and events
* Create youth-friendly digital content and promote social impact initiatives on social media
* Mentor peers and mobilise youth networks for engagement
* Participate in national/state UNICEF-led campaigns and trainings
