**UNICEF** is hiring a **Consultant** to support its education team in Kano on foundational literacy, numeracy, early childhood education, and vocational skills training under the EYE programme.

**🧑‍🏫 Job Title:** Education Consultant – Foundational Learning & Skills Development
**📍 Location:** Kano, Nigeria
**🕐 Contract Type:** Short-term Consultancy
**🗓 Deadline:** 23 July 2025

**Key Responsibilities:**
✅ Support early childhood education using learning-through-play models
✅ Implement and monitor Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) programmes like TARL and RANA
✅ Conduct skills gap surveys and help develop vocational training for out-of-school adolescents
✅ Assist with reporting, data collection, and monitoring in Kano and Jigawa States

**Who can apply?**
🎓 Master’s degree in Education or related field
📚 5+ years experience in improving learning outcomes, curriculum development, and teacher training
🗣 Excellent communication skills and familiarity with Nigeria’s education system
🌍 Experience working in low-resource or multilingual settings is an added advantage
